Hemp Tea – To Lift Up Your Mind, Body, and Soul!

The segment of herbal tea is evolving like never before, and people are excited about its newest member, Hemp Tea! Yes, there are so many questions going around about this incredibly delicious cup of herbal tea and today are going to answer some of these questions one by one.  Have others? Don’t be afraid to ask.

Hemp tea, will it get you high? Or what do you do about the CBD content in Hemp tea?

These are the most common concerns regarding the Hemp tea, and first, let’s get it cleared. Hemp tea is prepared from the cured, dried leaves  of the Hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) which contains CBD (Cannabidiol) as a major compound (around 3%). CBD is a non-psychoactive component and carries loads of health benefits instead. Hence we can eliminate the common fear by concluding that, Hemp tea will not get you high! Hemp Tea contains less than .3% THC so you would have to drink a ton to get any THC effect.  On the other hand, CBD and the other cannabinoids in hemp tea will help you to live a healthy life due to its proven health benefits.

Hemp tea, is it a new invention?

The answer is No. Why? There are many pieces of evidence from history to say that people used Hemp tea in the past. It is said that in ancient India, Hemp tea was offered to guests as a welcoming ritual. However, the use of Hemp tea became controversial during the late centuries due to the assumed psychoactive effects of the plant, but today these taboos have been answered by the proper scientific facts and figures.

With that said, we invented a special way to process hemp leaves into hemp tea that “decarboxylates” the CBD making it bioavailable.

Hemp tea, how do we prepare?

There is no magic in the preparation of Hemp tea. It is more or less the same process as any other tea. Here we recommend using one spoon full of dry hemp tea to around 250ml of boiling water and to brew it for 3-5 minutes, depending on the desired strength.

Further, we recommend pairing this tea with either milk, cream, a slice of butter or a few drops of oil. Simply due to the fact that CBD is a non-water soluble element and these sources of fat help the absorption of CBD into our system.

Hemp tea, what does it taste like?

Hemp tea has a very mild and delicate flavor profile and if we compare it with a regular green tea, Hemp tea has a less grassy flavor profile. It has exceptional brew with a yellowish hue and in general, Hemp tea blends well with many other flavor profiles as well.
